Well my daughter just got back from
The Antelope Creek Ranch. Bella had entered a contest for a scholarship to the fish camp with
Golden West Women Flyfishers Foundation. She wrote the essay herself and her mom and her teacher both thought she should fix it up and make it nicer, but Bella was not going for that action and ask me to mail it for her and I of course did. Well she won the scholarship and just got home from a week at fly fishing camp. The camp is run through The Fly Shop in Redding Ca. She had the time of her life and is already talking about next year when she goes back. They teach the kids some very useful things like roll casting, wading skills and reading water also the introduce them to fly tying and emphisize leave no trace. Here are a few of the pictures that Bella brought home.
Needless to say the kid had a blast. she wants to thank her Grandma and grandpa for driving her down and spoiling her the whole way. We all want to thank Golden West Women Flyfishers for giving Bella such an amazing opportunity.
Bella is now sure she will be guiding by the time she turns sixteen.
